H2 Hybrid Scooters LLC was founded on a single conviction: that hydrogen-electric hybrid technology can replace liquid-fuel internal combustion engines across every class of vehicle — cleanly, efficiently, and without compromise.
WHY HYDROGEN-ELECTRIC HYBRID?
Battery-electric vehicles solved part of the problem. But charging time, range anxiety, and grid dependency left a gap. Hydrogen fuel cells close that gap — but at 2× the cost of a battery EV, because of the platinum-based cell. We built a better path.
Our system uses a smaller-than-standard hydrogen IC engine to drive an electric generator, which powers the rear-wheel electric motor and continuously charges the lithium-ion battery while you ride. There is no mechanical connection between the engine and the rear wheel — only electrical. Speed is controlled by electric twist on aircraft-style handlebars. No transmission. No shifting. Simpler, smoother, and more reliable.
The result is the same extended range as a fuel cell system — at a fraction of the cost. Our low-temperature, spark-ignition hydrogen engine paired with an integrated catalytic exhaust treatment prevents thermal nitrogen oxide formation at the source — leaving pure water vapor as the tailpipe output. The three-wheeled fixed frame, low car-like seat, and comprehensive hydrogen safety systems are engineered to exceed conventional scooter safety standards. And the same architecture scales from urban scooters to military transporters — wherever diesel engines and imported oil are used today.
